Day 380 - Giving it time

Blind ambition breeds impatience. Directed ambition can give your work the time it needs.

Before the recording of my audiobook, I thought it would take three bookings of two hours each. It took seven bookings. A three-day plan turned out to be a seven day over two month reality. It was bewilderingly more difficult than I ever imagined.

This wasn’t reading my finished book…this was performing a recital.

Who knew sitting on your ass for two hours could be so perspiring?!

The naive shock of the experience reminded me that there are those projects that will simply take as long as they need to take.

I started blind. I persevered with direction.

When might you benefit a project the time it needs and not merely the time you think it deserves?
